Private residence in Bounaria, Koroni, Greece
The project is a contemporary Mediterranean residence characterized by a low, horizontal composition that responds sensitively to the surrounding landscape. The building is organized through a series of interconnected volumes, terraces, courtyards, and outdoor living spaces, creating a strong relationship between the interior and exterior. Natural stone walls, warm-toned plaster, large recessed openings, and deep roof overhangs establish a restrained and tactile material palette while providing shade and privacy. The swimming pools and planted terraces become integral architectural elements, extending the living spaces toward the landscape and reinforcing the building’s horizontal character. Native Mediterranean vegetation, olive trees, and earthy tones further integrate the residence into its natural setting. Overall, the architecture combines vernacular Mediterranean references with a minimalist contemporary language, creating a calm, private, and strongly landscape-oriented dwelling.
